The country crooner’s girlfriend, Gwen Stefani, is having one of those days when you just can’t decide what to wear, when her boyfriend and secret stylist, Shelton, turns up to help her out, in a hilarious video posted on Instagram.
“Why can’t I find anything to wear,” complains Stefani while looking through racks of clothing ahead of Monday’s The Voice finale. “None of this is screaming, ‘Finale.’ I need something high-fashion.”
“Did somebody say fashion?” asks Shelton, slipping into the room in sunglasses, a suit jacket, pants and a large necklace.
Stefani then jokes that she hopes no-one saw Shelton come in as she would be “so embarrassed” if people knew he secretly designs her wardrobe.
After declaring, “Let’s get to work,” Shelton then speedily browses through the racks, saying, “Yes,” or, “No,” to every item, pausing to advise Stefani to burn a pair of pink shorts.
After fiddling with designs, mannequins and a sewing machine, Stefani emerges in an outfit he describes as “cowboy chic.”
“But it needs something,” Shelton says, adding a furry pair of pants and blonde mullet wig to the look.
Clearly unimpressed, Stefani pleads for a holiday-themed look, which then sees her dressed as a gift, a Christmas tree, and a bunch of festive lights.

In clips posted on her Instagram Story, Stefani can later be seen wearing the outfit at the finale.
"It's exciting and sad," she says. "My last season here at The Voice. It was an incredible season."
