Singer Jessie J took to Instagram over the weekend to share a personal message with her fans.

Jessie J is getting personal with her fans about her recent medical diagnosis.

The English singer, 36, took to Instagram on Saturday to share a message about her struggle with OCD and ADHD, which she posted alongside a pair of clips showing her singing as a young woman and a more recent performance that showed her performing professionally onstage with a developed and evolved public presence.

"I was diagnosed with ADHD and OCD about 3 months ago," Jessie wrote in her caption. "In telling people a lot of the reaction I got was 'Yeah I mean we knew that' (which I'm sure some of you are doing right now) and of course I knew to some extent."

"But having a baby has let's say… exposed it a lot more," said Jessie, who welcomed her baby boy, Sky, with basketball player Chanan Safir Colman in May 2023. "Which was comforting in a way, as it made it feel less heavy and scary. But also in moments has made me feel like I can’t talk about it. F*** that. Here I am talking about it. Embracing it with the [world]."

"It's weird when you know you have been a little different and felt things differently your whole life, and finally one day when you least expect it, someone really explains why and you can't avoid it," she continued. "ADHD has such a wide spectrum it's like a mystery putting your version of it together, that's how it's felt for me. In really understanding ways to cope, excel and grow with it."

The "Price Tag" singer went on to explain that her recent diagnosis has "made me re think about my whole life -- the way I deal with things, The relationships I have had, how I work and how I love."

"It's empowered me and honestly sometimes has overwhelmed me all at the same time," she shared. "It has made me love myself even more. I'm hugging 11 year old me. Who would clean her trainers with a toothbrush when she was stressed and to this day has lived with a 1000 lists to not feel like life will crumble."

The artist explained the reason for sharing her diagnosis with her followers is because she wants to help others.

"I have always been honest in the journey I'm going through in life. And I know there are so many people that are going through this same thing and I'm honestly just reaching out to hold your hand and because I need mine held too," she said. "I have no boundaries lol we know that."

"Here's to getting to know yourself even more through life. And loving yourself all the way," she concluded. "Nothing in life defines us, but it helps us grow and become a more wholesome version of ourselves."

Jessie has often been candid and open with her Instagram followers, celebrating the triumphs and challenges she's faced as an entertainer and a mother.

She first announced the arrival of her baby boy on her Instagram Stories over a year ago, writing, "A week ago my whole life changed. My son entered this world and my heart grew twice the size. The feeling is indescribable. I am flying in love. He’s magic. He is all my dreams come true. He is my whole [world emoji]. He and I are both doing great. I am soaking up every second and still can't believe he is real, here and mine."
