Amy Robach and boyfriend T.J. Holmes look back at the lessons they learned in 2023.
Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes are looking back on the lessons they've learned over their transformative year together. The former ABC colleagues-turned-romantic partners reflected on their iHeartRadio podcast, Amy & T.J., about what 2023 taught them after they were let go from their roles on GMA3 after news of their romantic relationship was leaked.
"There are some friendships I lost in 2023 that will never come back," Holmes shared, while Robach added, "Choosing love is always worth it."
Without naming names, the couple also touched on their divorces from Andrew Shue and Marilee Fiebig, who have since reportedly started their own romance.
"I've learned that you don't really know someone until you divorce them," Robach said, seemingly referencing her split from Shue.
"Moving on…" Holmes quipped.
Robach also seemed to reference her divorce, noting, "You can lose your job, you can lose your reputation, you can lose friends, and you can lose most of your worldly possessions and still be happy."
"You lost most of your worldly possessions?" Holmes asked her.
"I did. There's a lot of selling going on, a lot of giving away," Robach said, laughing.
As for their future career plans, don't expect them to return to morning TV.
"I learned that I never want to go back to the grind of morning television and I learned the I don't miss the job, I miss the people," Robach said.
"I agree with you there," Holmes replied.
Robach and Holmes left ABC in January following news of their relationship. Robach finalized her divorce from Shue two months later, while Holmes concluded his divorce from Fiebig in October. Despite facing scrutiny, both Robach and Holmes maintained that they were separated from their spouses when their relationship began.
