Zedd told ET about his new single 'Lucky' while celebrating his unique AI collaboration powered by Intel Core Ultra Processors.
Quality over quantity! Zedd sat down with ET on Aug. 16 to talk first new album in nearly a decade, "Telos", and why he likes to make music without any ‘filler’ songs.
"I've always been a quality over quantity person, so I haven't released a whole ton of music in my entire life. … I feel about that there is no filler minute at all in my album. Every single song matters. I cut everything from the album that didn't feel like it had a valid reason to be on it," he shares.
The reason behind this approach: "An album is more than just a collection of songs, it is more so an experience that you listen to front to back, that really takes you on a journey where you have the feeling that the artist thought about every second of this album and not just the two hits on it," he says.
Beyond using this method to further relate to listeners, the record producer teamed up with Intel using the Core Ultra Processor for an AI experience tied to his single, "Lucky" with Remi Wolf, where participants can digitally integrate themselves into AI-curated content sequences perfectly synced to the song.
"The Lucky AI experience is really all about bringing somebody closer to the emotions that I feel with the song. … Being able to be a mixture of sort of directing a music video in real-time and creating your own artwork at the end makes you part of the DNA that we've built for this album," the songwriter explains.
