House of the Dragon
A prequel to the hit series Game of Thrones, season 1 of House of the Dragon is streaming exclusively on Max. The second season is expected to premiere in the summer of 2024.
The Last of Us
The action-packed thriller The Last of Us, starring Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey, received the second-most Emmy noms this year with 24 nominations. In reality, the second season may not be here until 2025, but we are highly anticipating its release.
Adventure Time: Fionna and Cake
Based on the beloved cartoon Adventure Time, Adventure Time: Fionna and Cake features characters from the original series with voices by Donald Glover, Andrew Rannells and Maria Bamford. Max renewed the show for a second season but has not yet shared the expected release date.
The Sympathizer
A Pulitzer Prize-winner for Fiction, The Sympathizer by Viet Thanh Nguyen tells the story of a double agent in the wake of the Vietnam War. Max will begin streaming the HBO adaption, starring Robert Downey Jr, on April 14.
The Regime
Premiering on March 3, The Regime (starring Kate Winslet) is a limited series about the downfall of an authoritarian regime.
Somebody Somewhere
Somebody Somewhere won TV Program of the Year in 2023 at the AFI Awards. The series starring Bridget Everett about a woman who finds her place with a group of outsiders will return for a third season later this year.
The Penguin
A classic DC villain, Oswald Cobblepot, is getting his own show at Max with Colin Farrell playing the notorious crime lord of Gotham who is better known by his street name, The Penguin. The series is slated to come to Max sometime in 2024.
Conan O'Brien Must Go
The beloved comedian and late-night show host Conan O'Brien is back for a new Max series, Conan O'Brien Must Go.
Hacks
An older, traditional comedian (Jean Smart) and a younger, fresh-faced comedian (Hannah Einbinder) work together despite their differences in the Max show Hacks, which won the 2022 Golden Globe for Best Television Series — Musical or Comedy.
