In ET’s exclusive first look at the new series, the singer isn’t quite ready for rehearsals on JD Lawrence’s new play. But good news is, no one else is, either!
Ginuwine knows how to bring it onstage, as a singer. But what about as an actor?
That’s the big question in ET’s exclusive first look at Bravo’s new docuseries, Your Husband Is Cheating on Us. The 47-year-old entertainer has signed on to star in producer-director JD Lawrence’s new musical, also called Your Husband Is Cheating on Us, and in one of the very first rehearsals with the cast, he struggles -- big time.
“With my touring, my schedule is truly challenging,” he laments. “I’m gone Friday, Saturday and Sunday. This is a huge part. I’m almost in every scene, and I’m hoping I can live up to it.”
Showing Ginuwine, and pretty much every other cast member up, is Australian newcomer Kristen Plati, who isn’t even one of the main players in the cast. She’s an understudy.
“I’m impressed,” writer-director JD’s daughter, Taylour, remarks. “She’s already off book.”
“I’m new,” Kristen notes. “No one here knows me. I can’t show up and be lazy, or now know my s**t, and have them turn and say, ‘Well, why is she here?’ So, I’m going work my a** off and prove that I deserve as much as anyone else to be in this show.”

Kristen’s hard work proves problematic for the rest of the cast, though, as JD starts to call them out one by one for not having their lines memorized already, but the actors push back a bit, each noting they’ve only had their scripts for a little more than 24 hours!
“If I don’t have the script beforehand, don’t expect me to be off in two days,” Tondy Gallant spouts off in a confessional. “Don’t play me!”
We can only assume JD will push his stars more from here, as he moves them all into a house together to help interject their real-life experiences into the show! Your Husband Is Cheating on Us premieres Sunday, April 1, at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo after The Real Housewives of Atlanta’ season finale. For more on that show, check out the video and links below.
