Mamie Laverock allegedly fell five stories at a hospital in Vancouver, Canada.
When Calls the Heart star Erin Krakow is speaking out about her co-star, Mamie Laverock's, serious injury after she allegedly suffered a five-story fall last month.
Krakow and WCTH actor Kevin McGarry were recenty asked by Page Six about Laverock's accident and current condition.
"We've been in touch, and we are wishing her all the best," Krakow said of Laverock. "She's such a great girl, and I hope it's just the speediest recovery."
Krakow has been encouraged when seeing the When Calls the Heart family and fan base rally behind Laverock by donating to her GoFundMe page to help with medical bills.
"Oh, it's amazing. It really is," she said.
However, Krakow is also cognizant of respecting the Laverock family's privacy amid this challenging time.
"We're going to offer her family some privacy," she said, opting not to speak about the situation further.
So far, the GoFundMe page has raised nearly $40,000 Canadian dollars of its $30,000 goal.
Laverock allegedly fell five stories at a hospital in Vancouver, Canada, while being transported amid an unrelated 'medical emergency' in May. She has since undergone four surgeries and has endured "tremendous pain," according to her family.
In a previous statement to ET, Hallmark Media stated, "We are deeply saddened to hear the news about Mamie. As a beloved member of our When Calls the Heart community, we wish her and her family peace, comfort, and many prayers during this difficult time."
Laverock portrayed Rosaleen Sullivan on several episodes of When Calls the Heart from 2014 to 2023. Her performance earned her the 2015 Young Artist Award for Best Performance in a TV Series – Recurring Young Actress 10 and Under, as well as a 2014 Joey Award in Vancouver for Young Ensemble Cast in a Dramatic Series.
Laverock's mother, Nicole Rockmann, recently told the Los Angeles Times that she planned to hold the hospital accountable for her daughter's injuries.
"This is an absolute miracle and there will be accountability," Rockmann said, blaming the facility where Laverock allegedly fell.
Noting that her injuries are "life threatening" and that the actress is currently on life support, Rockmann told the Times that the fall was not "intended" or a suicide attempt. She said the family plans to take legal action against the hospital, describing it as a "negligence-type case."
"We have a case. All we care about is that Mamie can make a recovery and that she's alive and that she's fighting and that she's strong," Rockmann said. "It's unbelievable that she's with us."
