Wayne Brady and his ex, Tina, welcomed a baby boy named Val Henry.
Wayne Brady's family is bigger than anyone thought!
On the first episode of Freeform's Wayne Brady: The Family Remix, the comedian revealed that he is the father of a toddler son that he welcomed with his ex-girlfriend, Tina, whom he dated over the pandemic.
Brady, 52, said that he got the news of Tina's pregnancy when the family returned from his grandmother, Valerie's, funeral. In honor of his grandmother, Brady and Tina decided to name their son, Val Henry.
In an interview with People, the Let's Make a Deal host speaks about the relationship he plans to build with his child, and how he wants him to feel as loved as his daughter, Maile, 21.
"I never want Val to grow up thinking that he should be ashamed or look back and go, 'Oh, my dad didn't want me,' or he was ashamed of me," he tells the magazine. "Because I want him, in his own way, to know that I love him as much as I love Maile, who is of me and that I had a part in creating. So I had to do that work."
Brady -- who lives as blended family with Maile, her mother and his ex-wife, Mandie Taketa, and Taketa's new boyfriend, Jason Fordham -- doesn't live near Val and his mother. However, that does not stop him from being a daily part of his life.
"I'm super sweet, because it's the little guy,” Brady says. "It's a different type of parenting than when Maile was born, because [Mandie and I] were together. It's a completely different form of co-parenting."
Aside from his journey with fatherhood and his blended family, Brady's latest reality TV show will see the Who's Line Is It Anyway? star opening up even more about his sexuality after coming out as pansexual.
Earlier this month, Brady spoke with ET about why it took so long for him to share publicly his sexual orientation.
"The answer is easy -- because I didn't know! Like, I didn't know what it was even called," Wayne explained. "It's not like I had this secret that I was sitting on and at night I was pansexual Batman going out."
