Vince Vaughn spoke with ET at the red carpet premiere of his new Apple TV+ series, 'Bad Monkey.'
Vince Vaughn is humbly accepting his flowers. The 54-year-old actor was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Monday, later walking the red carpet at the Los Angeles premiere of his new Apple TV+ series, Bad Monkey.
"Oh, it's just nice to have my family be able to be out and be around," the Wedding Crashers alum shared with ET's Denny Directo at the Billy Wilder Theater at the Hammer Museum on Monday evening.
"Growing up out here in Hollywood, it's nice to be part of the sidewalk," he added of the honor. The star was raised in Illinois, but moved to Tinseltown at age 18 to begin his career.
Vaughn admitted, however, that he didn't exactly manifest this moment.
"Gosh, I don't know if I thought about it all that much," he shared.
By Vaughn's side for both events was his wife, Kyla. The couple, who wed in 2010, share two children: 13-year-old daughter Locklyn and 11-year-old son Vernon.
ET recently gave fans a first look at Vaughn's new series, which follows Andrew Yancy (Vaughn), a former detective with the Miami Police Department, whose life takes an interesting turn after a severed human arm washes up on a beach and leads him into a winding investigation.
The show was co-created by Ted Lasso alum Bill Lawrence and his former Scrubs collaborator, Matt Tarses.
L. Scott Caldwell, Rob Delaney, Meredith Hagner, Natalie Martinez, Alex Moffat, Michelle Monaghan, Ronald Peet, Jodie Turner-Smith, and Scott Glenn round out the ensemble cast, with guest-starring roles for John Ortiz, Zach Braff, and Charlotte Lawrence.
"Bill's such a good writer," Vaughn gushed. "He's done it in so many different genres and it's so easy when you have a guy like that at the helm because you have a big trust level to kind of play around and feel safe in his hands."
In terms of the cast, Vaughn noted that there was "good chemistry" and "lots of fun" on set.
Bad Monkey premieres on Apple TV+ on August 14.
