Vanessa Hudgens Gives Birth to First Child With Cole Tucker

Vanessa Hudgens confirms reports she's a mom while stating her 'family's privacy was disrespected' by the media.

Baby V is now Mommy V! Vanessa Hudgens took to Instagram on the Fourth of July to confirm that she has welcomed her first child with her husband, Los Angeles Angels player Cole Tucker.

Noting that she and Tucker are "disappointed" that their "family's privacy was disrespected and exploited," Hudgens went on to note, "Despite all of that, mom dad and baby are happy and healthy."

On Wednesday, the 35-year-old High School Musical alum celebrated her husband's 28th birthday and gave him a gift unlike any other -- a new baby! TMZ was the first to report the singer and actress had welcomed her first child, although details on the baby's birthday and sex are unknown at this time. The outlet shared a photo of Hudgens cradling the baby close while leaving the hospital in a wheelchair, as is customary for new moms.

Hudgens first announced her pregnancy in March by letting her baby bump do the talking on the 2024 Academy Awards red carpet. Hudgens showed off her growing belly in a custom floor-length black gown by Vera Wang.

Following the ceremony, she put her bump on display in a sheer dress by Jason Bolden at the Vanity Fair Oscars after-party.

"Vanessa is glowing and embracing this new chapter. She couldn't be happier during this time," a source told ET before the birth. "She can't wait to be a mom and wants to provide and set a positive example for her little one. She is such a hands-on person in everything she does and this will undoubtedly translate into her parenting style. Cole has been catering to her every need. He’s a family man and is actively involved. He wants to be the best dad he can be. This is a dream come true for both of them. They are still living on cloud nine and loving married life."

The pregnancy news came months after Hudgens and Tucker tied the knot at Azulik City of Arts in Tulum, Mexico, on Dec. 2, 2023. The couple was married in front of 100 of their closest friends and family, and wrote their own vows. The ceremony was officiated by Jay Shetty -- who hosted the Zoom meditation session where Hudgens and Tucker met in 2020.

"Me and Cole met on a Zoom meditation group. Very random, yes," the Bad Boys star told ET in 2021. "Zoom, you've got to love it."

The two were first publicly linked in 2020, months after her split from longtime boyfriend Austin Butler. Prior to Butler, the former Disney star was in a longtime relationship with her High School Musical co-star, Zac Efron, before their split in 2010.

Now, baby makes three, and no doubt Hudgens is thrilled. When ET spoke with the Princess Switch star in April 2023, she reflected on all of the things she's manifested in her life, including her love story with Tucker.

"My relationship, my home, my career," she shared. "There's so much. As long as you're really specific, might not always come when you expect it or want it, but it's always gonna come back in some way."

And two months into married life, Hudgens couldn't help but gush about her life as a married woman.

"It's the best; I couldn't be happier -- genuinely," she told ET in February of her new role as wife to the pro baseball player.

Congratulations to the family of three!
