It seems like Val Chmerkovskiy has definitely gotten the memo. Just hours after his dancer girlfriend, Jenna Johnson, joked to ET’s Lauren Zima and Cameron Mathison about wanting her man to propose, he took to Twitter on Tuesday.
When a fan shared a GIF of Jenna’s red hot ballroom look, Val replied, “I should def put a ring on it,” with eye, loving, and crown emojis.
The couple rekindled their romance last summer and have been open about their love ever since.
“Time’s a-ticking!” Jenna joked to ET of a potential proposal on Tuesday. “We’ll see [if engagement is in the cards anytime soon]. We both have very big things happening right now, so we’ll let that ride over… maybe we’ll go to Fiji!”
Val has also chatted with ET about his girlfriend, admitting that it can be difficult being with someone in the same field.
"It's hard," Val admitted to ET of seeing his girlfriend with different dance partners this past March. "The type of person I am, I mean, I'm fairly jealous. I mean, look, I have all these emotions, you know. I'm not perfect. But I have to check myself and be fair and say, like... how can I hold this against her if I'm in the same situation? And I would never want to compromise my artistry, you know, because I wouldn't want to make my significant other feel uncomfortable.”
