Ryan Seacrest experienced a first on Monday morning.

After replacing Michael Strahan as the permanent Live co-host in May, the 42-year-old TV personality did the show for the first time without Kelly Ripa by his side. Instead, he was joined by So You Think You Can Dance host Cat Deeley, who helped him interview 50 Cent and Marisa Tomei. Meanwhile, Ripa was on vacation in Vancouver, Canada, with husband Mark Consuelos and their children.

Seacrest opened the show by talking about Ripa's getaway and noted that she told him that it was far from glamorous as she and Consuelos were hiking in the woods. Ripa also shared some pics from her trip on Instagram, writing: "Didn't get mauled by a bear but did get mauled by @instasuelos on #summer #solstice."

After the show, Seacrest admitted to still being a rookie when it came to hosting Live by sharing a photo on Instagram of the confetti that had fallen in his coffee cup during the giveaway segment. "First day with @KellyRipa on vaca and I already forgot to protect my cup from the confetti," he quipped in the caption. "We miss u already."

Not long after Seacrest started co-hosting Live, a production source at the daytime talk show told ET that the "vibe [was] positive."
