Starship Discovery has found its captain!
Jason Isaacs will play "Capain Lorca," helming the ship on Star Trek: Discovery, the forthcoming iteration of the iconic franchise, debuting on the CBS All Access streaming service later this year, CBS Television Studios announced Tuesday.

Neither sci-fi, nor streaming is unfamiliar for Isaacs, who also starred in Netflix's The OA, which released in late 2016.
Also added to the series was Baskets star Mary Wiseman, who will play a Starfleet Academy Cadet named "Tilly."

The two actors join an ensemble comprised of James Frain (True Blood), Doug Jones (Pan's Labyrinth), Anthony Rapp (Rent) and Michelle Yeoh (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon), who were all previously announced for the series.
After the premiere of the show was repeatedly pushed, CBS All Access told ET in a statement that quality of the series supersedes timing.

“This is an ambitious project; we will be flexible on a launch date if it's best for the show,” the statement read. “We've said from the beginning it's more important to do this right than to do it fast. There is also added flexibility presenting on CBS All Access, which isn't beholden to seasonal premieres or launch windows."
