The new song will be featured in next week's episode.
Empire fans are in for another treat.
In next week’s episode of the hit Fox series, titled “Cupid Kills,” Serayah performs a powerful new anthem, and ET has the exclusive premiere of “Me,” a pulse-pounding song all about female empowerment.
"The song reminds me of Beyoncé’s ‘Me, Myself and I,’” the 21-year-old actress-singer, who plays Tiana, exclusively tells ET. “Lyrics in both songs speak to female empowerment, but both are really about self-love.”

“I feel like ‘Me’ is almost an anthem -- none of us need approval or love from anyone else to define our worth, all that any of us need is me to be happy,” Serayah adds.
“Me” comes at an appropriate time for Tiana, who, on Wednesday’s episode, moved on from on-again/off-again love interest Hakeem (Bryshere Y. Gray) with new rapper Gram (Romeo Miller).
Executive producer Sanaa Hamri spoke to ET about Tiana’s former beau and why chaos is ahead for the youngest Lyon, who starts to take a serious liking to Shine’s (Xzibit) sister Nessa (Sierra McClain).

“Hakeem is a player, so if he likes something he’s going to take it,” Hamri said, adding that the young rapper has a lot on his plate this season. “He’s struggling about being a father. What does that mean when he’s so young and still a party boy and still a rapper and still wants to do the things that he wants to do?”
“We’re dealing with a young man who’s torn in different directions, but he’s getting seduced again by Lucious,” she added. “His reaction to all this is going back to where he started, which is not a good place.”
Empire airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Fox.
