During the fan Q&A session of Sunday's Supernatural panel, a man proposed to his unsuspecting girlfriend in one of the sweetest moments of the four-day convention.
"I loved you from the very first moment that I saw you," the man, holding the mic, said to his stunned girlfriend, as he held a box with the engagement ring. "You're the sun that brightens my day. I can't think of anybody else standing by my side slaying zombies and killing vampires and killing demons and whatever else is out there. What I'm trying to ask you, Ashley Elizabeth Rhodes, will you marry me?"

Of course, she said yes!
Jared Padalecki congratulated the newly-engaged couple, standing up to applaud them afterwards and saying, "Congrats, guys!"
That wasn't the only surprise of the panel, where Rick Springfield was revealed to be joining the Supernatural family. The Australian singer has been cast as Lucifer in The CW's long-running drama, playing Lucifer's next vessel in season 12.

Springfield, 66, shot his first scene on Friday and has been doing an "amazing job," executive producer Bob Singer said.
This is the latest acting gig for Springfield, who previously starred in Ricki and the Flash alongside Meryl Streep and recently recurred on HBO's True Detective.
Supernatural returns Oct. 13 on The CW.
