Christopher Walken is unrecognizable in the first image of Hook for NBC's upcoming Peter Pan Live telecast.
The 71-year-old actor poses alongside Allison Williams' Peter in the new publicity shot, wielding his signature hook in his left hand and a sword in his right. And while his costume is beautifully detailed, we cannot look away from that face. How much time did he spend in the makeup chair for this shoot?! Peter Pan Live airs on December 4 on NBC as a follow-up to last year's highly successful live broadcast of The Sound of Music, starring Carrie Underwood. Williams may not have Underwood's vocal chops, but Girls fans already know that she can carry a tune. Walken, on the other hand, tells Entertainment Weekly that he's "not a good singer" but that his performance will take a page from a late stage.
"The songs are done almost like patter," said Walken. "Think Rex Harrison in My Fair Lady."
