Patricia Arquette guest stars on 'CSI' and hopes the role will become permanent in a possible spin-off series.
Patricia Arquette is headed to Las Vegas to help the forensics team solve a deadly cybercrime on a special new CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. And, if viewers respond well, she could be leading a brand new CSI spin-off based around the world of digital crime.
Arquette, who lead the NBC supernatural crime drama Medium for seven years, will play an FBI cyber-psychologist in this upcoming episode, which will also serve as a pilot for CSI: Cyber.

"It's really exciting to be a female lead on a new CSI spin-off," said Arquette.
Her character is more than just a computer expert. She's also a brilliant behavior psychologist. And Arquette brings more to the table that just her experience leading crime dramas. She also has quite the collection of accolades under her belt, including an Emmy and three Golden Globe nominations for her television work.
This exciting special episode of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation airs Wednesdays at 10/9c on CBS.
