Ed Asner to Valerie Harper: 'You're a Champ'
The ladies of The Mary Tyler Moore Show – Mary, Cloris Leachman, Georgia Engel and Valerie Harper – unite with their good friend and former co-star Betty White on tonight's special season finale episode of Hot in Cleveland on TV Land. In celebration, Lou Grant himself -- Ed Asner – sat down with ET's Brooke Anderson to watch clips from the finale, crack some jokes at the expense of the ladies, and send some heartfelt words towards his timeless friends, especially for Harper, who has been battling brain cancer.

"It's not the way it's supposed to be," he says of Harper's plight, telling her directly, "You're a champ, and never forget it, and always deliver as you do like a champ."
Harper is now reportedly in remission and has just joined the cast of ABC's new season of Dancing with the Stars. Asner jokes of her involvement, "She's good. She knows how to move. If she can swing her ass around, then she's home free."
Watching clips of his longtime friends in the Hot in Cleveland episode, the 83-year-old star quips, "Gosh, they've aged."
The reunion 30 years in the making casts the former Mary Tyler Moore Show stars as old bowling team colleagues of Betty's Hot in Cleveland character. Agreeing that they all still have that same chemistry, Asner adds, "It's like a piece of eternity looking at them."
