On March 25, Alicia Florrick gets a new friend when Matthew Perry joins The Good Wife in a recurring role as Mike -- a Chicago attorney with questionable motives in an episode titled Blue Ribbon Panel.

The title comes from the 7-person panel Mike heads up and Alicia is assigned to in order to investigate a police shooting.

But anyone expecting Mike to have a single Bing-esque quality will be sorely disappointed as co-creator Robert King tells ETonline, "this is a character unlike anything we've ever seen Matthew play."

Is Good Wife Headed For A Viral Attack?

"No one skates as effortlessly between drama and comedy as Matthew Perry, so we're especially thrilled to have him on the show,” he said in a statement alongside his co-creator, Michelle King. "We're huge, huge fans, and are nearly giddy over what he can do with the role."

The Good Wife airs Sundays at 9 p.m. on CBS.
