What to Watch On New Year's Eve
Not everyone can make it out to the chilly streets of Times Square on December 31, and if you're one of the many, don't fret! Stay in and get comfy because there's plenty of great entertainment to choose from:
Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2012:
New Year's Rockin' Eve celebrates a milestone this year with the airing of its landmark 40th broadcast. Starting at 8pm, Dick Clark and Ryan Seacrest look back at the show's best moments.
Beginning at 10pm, The Band Perry, blink-182, Florence + The Machine, Gym Class Heroes, Hot Chelle Rae, Justin Bieber, Beyonce, Robin Thicke, Carlos Santana LMFAO, Nicki Minaj, OneRepublic, Pitbull, Taio Cruz, will.i.am, and the one and only Lady Gaga will ring in the new year with back-to-back performances.
Jenny McCarthy will host from Times Square while Fergie of the Black Eyed Peas will split the duties for the west coast (Los Angeles).
The five-and-a-half hour special begins at 8:00pm live in Times Square on ABC.
NBC's New Year's Eve with Carson Daly:
Carson Daly will ring in the New Year for NBC with The Voice's Blake Shelton and Cee Lo Green, Drake, British superstar Jessie J, Tony Bennett and The Roots.
Jimmy Fallon will pop in for a special comedy performance from the Rockefeller Plaza Christmas tree, and NBC news anchor Brian Williams will give his review of this year's best and worst music.
Keep an eye out for stars of NBC shows, as they will pass on their New Year's Eve greetings.
Golden Globes host Ricky Gervais will also stop by with a special appearance.
The fun begins at 10pm on NBC.
American Country New Year's Eve Live:
Comedian Rodney Carrington will ring in the New Year between Las Vegas and New York for FOX with special appearances by Rodney Atkins, American Idol runner-up Lauren Alaina, Toby Keith, Joe Nichols, and the Eli Young Band.
The one-and-a-half hour special begins at 11pm on FOX.
NYE In NYC 2012:
Demi Lovato and Teen Wolf's Tyler Posey will host MTV's NYE In NYC 2012 which boasts performances by some of 2011's biggest names like Selena Gomez, Jason Derulo, Mac Miller, and J. Cole. Lovato herself is rumored to join in with a number or two.
The party starts at 11pm on MTV.
New Year's Eve Live With Anderson Cooper and Kathy Griffin:
Comedian Kathy Griffin will re-join Anderson Cooper for the third time with her foul-mouthed brand of comedy, counting down the end of 2011 live in Times Square.
The two-hour special begins at 11pm on CNN.
106 & Party:
BET will welcome 2012 with a hip-hop extravaganza with Diggy Simmons, Young Jeezy, Wale, and more!

Coldplay New Year's Eve: An Austin City Limits Special:
Although the 90-minute special was pre-taped in September, a fake countdown with confetti will make this Coldplay concert special feel live as you usher in the New Year.
