Donna shared how it all came to be and where she thinks she'll sit at Super Bowl LVIII.
When Donna Kelce went Facebook official with Taylor Swift, the world went into a tailspin for a myriad of reasons. Perhaps because she beat her son, Travis Kelce, to the punch. Whatever the case, the NFL's favorite mom is now sharing how that photo came to be.
Travis' mom appeared on the Today show on Wednesday to discuss how she's preparing ahead of her son and the Kansas City Chiefs playing against the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LVIII at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. Donna also opened up about where she'll be sitting come game day, but first, the Facebook header change.
As fans know by now, Donna made headlines when she changed her Facebook header to feature a group photo with the Midnights singer. It wasn't just the two of them, though. Just about everyone who was with them sitting in the suite when the Chiefs ousted the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC Championship Game also got in on the action.
"That was a picture where all of us were so excited that were in the suite, and we were so excited that we made it to the Super Bowl that we just took a shot of everybody that was there," Donna said. "So it wasn't anything calculating or anything like that. It was just everybody that was supporting my son, and I was so happy to put that picture on Facebook, yes."
But might a selfie of just her and the world's biggest pop star be coming soon? That remains unclear, but there's definitely a pic or two in the camera roll.
"I've got a few [selfies with Taylor] here and there," Donna teased.
Donna was also asked if fans can expect to find her in her usual spot on game day -- sitting next to Taylor in a suite, which Today co-host Hoda Kotb said seems to be good luck for the Chiefs.
"Well, you can understand that the boxes in Vegas are multimillion dollars," she responded. "So, I have a feeling I'm not in a box. I have a feeling I'm in the stands."
That remains to be seen.
Meanwhile, Travis on Super Bowl Media Day was asked if there is going to be "another ring besides the Super Bowl ring if you win this thing on Sunday," the implication being that he might be thinking about celebrating his third Super Bowl win with an engagement ring for his superstar girlfriend.
"I'm focused on getting this ring and that's all my mind's focused on right now," Travis responded as he looked around the horde of reporters surrounding his booth seemingly hoping a different reporter would ask a different question.
Travis is looking to capture his third Super Bowl ring.
