The 34-year-old Kansas City Chiefs tight end also addresses when he plans on retiring.
Travis Kelce is living his best life. In addition to being a Super Bowl champion and having his NFL team, the Kansas City Chiefs, have six out seven wins this season, he's also romantically linked to Taylor Swift.
On a recent episode of the Paper Route podcast, the 34-year-old tight end doesn't mention the 33-year-old singer, but he is asked how he's doing -- and he naturally has no complaints.
"Obviously I got a lot of stuff going on off the field. You see me in just about every other commercial. It's been a fun ride," Travis shares. "It's crazy what kind of doors open up for you when you win the Super Bowl and on top of that, just living life to the fullest."
As for how much longer he has in the NFL, Travis replied, "I live day to day. ...Every situation is different. I've been blessed, been fortunate enough to be on the field more times than not and getting those kind of opportunities. I'm going to keep enjoying coming into the building. I said a few months ago, I'm going to try and play until the wheels fall off. Who knows when the wheels fall off? It's different for everybody. ...You're gonna probably see me keep coming back."
In addition to his football career, Travis has also parlayed his success into other aspects of entertainment, including commercials and a podcast, New Heights, with his brother, Jason Kelce.
"The NFL can't be your final destination so to speak, so getting out from under the face mask and into somebody's living room and trying to gather that following and get a brand across the shelf in the right way, that was always one of the main goals for me, coming into the league."
He added, "I've always been a football first kind of guy. ...I never want that perception to be deterred. I have fun with going out and going to all these events and meeting people and being in front of a camera like I did on Saturday Night Live. I enjoy all of that so it's just kind of been, like, a slow transition into what opportunities I can get myself into and juggling the balance of just making football the first and main goal. Everything else is kind of secondary for when my career is over."
When it comes to comparing himself to his brother, Jason, who is the starting center for the Philadelphia Eagles, Travis admitted that his 35-year-old brother is a little better than him in his athletic abilities. "Pound for pound, Jason is faster, stronger, more physical, he's got some allusiveness to him a little bit. ...I could make an argument for me but I'm going to say Jason," he replied when asked who was the better athlete of the brothers.
However, Travis was quick to give himself credit when it came to who is the better dresser. "Me all day. Jason can't figure out what to wear ever. ...He's a Neanderthal when it comes to picking out clothes," he said.
And while Travis is often seen dancing, he confessed that Jason's moves are his "hidden talent" and that he's the funniest of the siblings. "He's the comedian in the family," he shared.
Swifties also might be surprised to learn that Travis' go-to songs before a big game are usually by former NFL pro Deion "Primetime" Sanders. "He gets me right before a game for sure," Travis mused.
