'Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?' premieres Oct. 16 on Prime Video with Travis Kelce hosting.
Travis Kelce is making his game show hosting debut this fall on Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?
Prime Video announced that the highly-anticipated spinoff of the iconic game show series, Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?, will be hosted by Kelce and will premiere Wednesday, Oct. 16 with three episodes, followed by one new episode weekly.
The 20-episode Amazon Original series will feature an adult contestant relying on a classroom of celebrities, who will help them answer 11 questions pulled from elementary curriculum. For the $100,000 6th grade-level final question, the contestant can select one celebrity to discuss the answer with before submitting it.
Making up the celebrity classmates are comedians Nikki Glaser, Natasha Leggero, Nicole Byer and Ron Funches; football analyst Ryan Fitzpatrick; former NFL wide receiver Chad Ochocinco; The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Garcelle Beauvais; Vanderpump Rules star Lala Kent; podcaster Sophia Stallone; and actress and producer Lilly Singh.
Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity? is executive produced by Wes Kauble and Mark Burnett, with co-executive producers Sean Kelly, Steve Hughes, Susan Janis-Mashayekhi and Tamara Akins.
Back in 2016, Kelce starred as the subject of E!'s former reality dating competition show, Catching Kelce.
"I grew up loving game shows, and I'm excited to be following in the footsteps of so many TV icons by hosting my very first one with Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?," Kelce said in a statement in April. "The original show is a great success, so to be bringing a new format with everyone's favorite celebrities to the screen, will definitely be entertaining. I'm just happy to be on the hosting side of the equation here and excited to see how these famous faces keep up."
Outside of his new game show, football and his relationship with Taylor Swift, Kelce and his brother, Jason, host their own podcast called New Heights. In July, the two announced a hiatus from the podcast.
Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity? will be available exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories around the world on Oct. 16.
