Travis Kelce Gushes Over Patrick Mahomes' Charity Gala He Attended With Taylor Swift, Reveals 'Painful' Moment

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end opens up about his latest trip to Las Vegas on his 'New Heights' podcast.

Travis Kelce had an "absolute blast" in Las Vegas over the weekend, but he admits on Wednesday's episode of New Heights, presented by Wave Sports + Entertainment, that there was one particularly "painful" moment.

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end was joined by girlfriend Taylor Swift for Patrick and Brittany Mahomes' fundraising gala for the 15 and the Mahomies Foundation on Saturday, stealing the show as he took the stage to auction off a set of four tickets for Swift's Eras Tour. The surprise contribution raised a whopping $80,000 for charity.

"It's always fun doing something exciting and getting everybody together for a great cause," Travis says of the event. "What Pat and Brittany Mahomes do for the community in [Kansas City, Missouri] and their hometown community down there in Texas, it's just awesome to see how much money they can raise and how much support he gets everywhere he goes, man, because of how great of a guy he is."

Adding to the ambiance, Las Vegas happens to be a meaningful location for Travis and his teammates as the 34-year-old athlete earned his third Super Bowl ring as the Chiefs beat the San Francisco 49ers there in February.

"Back to the scene of the crime," he cheekily tells his brother and co-host, Philadelphia Eagles alum Jason Kelce, on Wednesday.

"I don't lose in Vegas," he adds, referring to his victorious turn during the Golf Classic portion of the fundraiser.

Still, Travis takes a bit of teasing from his older brother over his "embarrassing" beer chugging skills after drinking straight from the trophy.

"Yeah, it was bad," Travis admits. "I had also chugged out of the second and third place trophies right before I chugged with my team, so that was on a full stomach and it was painful."

He adds, "I'm not gonna say whether it stayed down or not."

Travis does not mention Taylor during his comments on the podcast, but an eyewitness previously told ET that Taylor and Travis walked in to the gala "holding hands and were affectionate all night." The eventgoer adds that throughout the night, there was "lots of kissing and just overall happiness between them. The support is there for one another."

"The two seem to be in good spirits and definitely in love," said the eyewitness.

This amid a historic week for both Travis and Taylor, with the former inking a deal to make him the highest paid tight end in the NFL and the latter shattering numerous records with the release of her 11th studio album.

Swifties have speculated that The Tortured Poets Department includes a number of love songs aimed at Travis, including "The Alchemy" and "So High School."

"Travis is so supportive of the entire album and loves that he is a part of Taylor's story," a source told ET after the release. "He is a Swiftie through and through, and is very proud of her."

While Taylor is gearing up to resume her Eras Tour on May 9 in Paris, France, Travis is prepping to host his second annual Kelce Jam, presented by Jim Beam. The festival goes down May 18 at Azura Amphitheater in Kansas City. Some of this year's featured artists include Lil Wayne, 2 Chainz and Diplo.

"It's definitely been fun to experience her taste in music, for sure," Kelce recently said of Swift in an interview with ET. "She's so amazing at what she does. And to find that creativity to see where she likes to pull things from and just, really, how she listens to music is very eye-opening for me. It's been fun to hear her take on it."
