The ‘Mission: Impossible Fallout’ star acts out the sketch on Monday’s ‘Tonight Show.’
He can jump out of planes and save the free world from attackers, but Tom Cruise couldn’t seem to hold it together on Monday’s episode of The Tonight Show.
The 56-year-old Mission: Impossible Fallout actor participated in a game of “Mad Libs Theater” with host Jimmy Fallon, and it didn’t disappoint. "Here's what we're going to do, I'm going to ask you for some silly words -- nouns, verbs, adjectives, et cetra," Fallon explained the game. "As we do that, they'll be written on your cue cards, and then we're going to act out a very dramatic Mad Lib scene."
The scene took place on a train, but first, the late-night host had some questions for Cruise. When asked for a cute puppy name, the action star answered, “My Little Cookie." As for what he would say if a spider was crawling on him, Cruise replied, “Come here, darling.”
This made for some hysterical theater when it came time for the pair to act out their scene.
“Good evening, My Little Cookie,” Fallon began. From that moment on, Cruise couldn't control his laughter. Several times, the A-list actor had to stop speaking, shaking his head and convulsing with giggles.
While promoting Mission: Impossible Fallout, Cruise is also busy working on the Top Gun sequel, which he touched on while on The Tonight Show.
Over the weekend, Cruise also dished to ET’s Carly Steel about the highly anticipated movie.
“We are actually working on Top Gun full-time while I’m doing this," he shared. "Yeah, we’ll go right into. I mean, I’ve started already so I’ve been full-on. Even when we’re on that tour, I’ve been working.”
