No one gives a wedding toast quite like Tiffany Haddish.
The Girls Trip star was one of the many famous faces in attendance at Chanel Iman's wedding to Sterling Shepard earlier this month, but she made sure to leave a lasting impression with her toast to the newlyweds.
“I knew you could take care of any man you decided to take care of and I’m glad you decided to take care of that one, ’cause I can see his soul,” Haddish said to Iman from her table at the reception, in a video posted by Brides. “I looked into his eyeballs when you brought him to the comedy club. That’s a good man.”
Haddish continued, addressing Shepard -- and making it clear that he better not mess with the 27-year-old model.
“You better worship the ground she walks on ’cause she’s got a gangster a** b**ch that got her back,” she shared. “Sorry, pastor!”
Haddish, who co-starred with Iman in the 2017 film, Mad Families, ended her toast on a sweet note, encouraging the couple to always find the joy in their relationship.
"Make sure y’all have fun together. I ain’t that old, but I’m old, but I ain’t that old. But I’ve seen things,” she insisted. “From my observation, the relationships that last the longest are the relationships where you have fun. You are going to have your ups and your downs, but find time to have fun.”
"Thank you for messing up my make up ? @tiffanyhaddish You brought so much laughter to our wedding ?? Thank you for blessing us with your toast," Iman wrote on Instagram on Tuesday. "? @brides @evan_erogers @liakingking."
Iman and Shepard tied the knot in a gorgeous ceremony in Beverly Hills on March 3. They got engaged in December 2017, after just one year of dating.
