Thomas Kingston also previously dated Kate Middleton's sister, Pippa Middleton.
Thomas Kingston, the husband of Lady Gabriella and ex-boyfriend of Pippa Middleton, died on Sunday, according to multiple reports. He was 45.
The British financier's death was confirmed in a statement obtained to People. "It is with the deepest sorrow that we announce the death of Thomas Kingston, our beloved husband, son and brother," the statement read. "Tom was an exceptional man who lit up the lives of all who knew him. His death has come as a great shock to the whole family, and we ask you to respect our privacy as we mourn his passing."
A statement from a palace spokesperson also confirmed that King Charles III and Queen Camila have received the news of his death.
"The King and The Queen have been informed of Thomas’s death and join Prince and Princess Michael of Kent and all those who knew him in grieving a much-loved member of the family. In particular, Their Majesties send their most heartfelt thoughts and prayers to Gabriella and to all the Kingston family," read the statement given to People.
According to reports, Kingston died in Gloucestershire and emergency services were called. No cause of death has been revealed.
Kingston tied the knot with Lady Gabriella in 2019. The wedding, which was held at St. George's Chapel in Windsor Castle, was attended by Prince Harry, Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Philip, Prince William and Kate Middleton.
Also in attendance was Kate's sister, Pippa, who briefly dated Kingston.
Last year, Kingston and Lady Gabriella, who is the daughter of Princess Michael of Kent, attended the Royal Ascot with Charles and Camilla. The pair were also spotted in September at the Gabrielle Chanel Fashion Manifesto at the Victoria & Albert Museum and later Wimbledon.
According to the Devonport Capital website, Kingston had been a director at the company since 2017. He's also listed as a graduate of Bristol University.
Kingston is survived by his wife, parents and siblings.
