'While they reign, it pours.'
Watch out, royal fans, another documentary is coming your way. The Royals: A New Era will pull back the curtain on Britain's monarchy, offering expert insight on the psyche of the current and future kings.
"They reign over the monarchy, and while they reign, it pours," the special's promo teases, also offering glimpses at royal analysis on King Charles' first year as king and the ongoing police investigation surrounding Prince Andrew. The hour-long episode will also feature a look at Prince William's royal leadership and a breakdown of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's exit from the family.
The special comes just a few months after Harry's most recent visit to the U.K., where a source told ET there were "no current plans for Prince Harry to see King Charles."
The special will also air a month before Netflix releases the final season of The Crown, which promises to delivery a tense ending to the decades-long story on Queen Elizabeth II's reign.
"After six seasons, seven years and three casts, @TheCrownNetflix comes to an end later this year," Netflix wrote on X (formerly Twitter). "We’ll be back with more soon, but here’s a hint at what’s to come in our final season."
The photo that accompanied the post shows a close-up shot of the service program for the royal wedding of "His Royal Highness, the Prince of Wales and Her Royal Highness, the Duchess of Cornwall."
The Royals: A New Era is produced by Entertainment Tonight Studios for The CW with Erin Johnson serving as Executive Producer. Leslie Kawaguchi and Whitney Wallace are Co-Executive Producers. Marina Sadorian Knapp, Heidi Ortlip Hess, Felidette Blasucci are Senior Producers.
The Royals: A New Era will air Monday, Oct. 23 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on the CW.
