The 29-year-old singer teased that the song could be called 'Christmas Tree Farm.'
Christmas is coming early for all the Swifties out there!
During Thursday's episode of Good Morning America, Lara Spencer announced that Taylor Swift is set to drop a brand-new Christmas song at midnight on Friday.
The sure-to-be festive song, which Swift wrote over the weekend, will also have an accompanying music video.
Following the announcement, Swift took to Twitter to share a video of herself asking her cats, Meredith, Benjamin, and Olivia if she should drop the track right away.
"I know this is pretty wild, but I've just written a Christmas song. I feel like it's weird to just wait a year to put it out. I don't have anyone to ask right now except for Meredith," she quipped, before approaching the apathetic feline and asking, "Should I put out a Christmas song, like, now? OK that's hard to tell."
"When in doubt, ask the itty bitty pretty kitty committee," Swift wrote alongside the video. "When they shun you with silence, ambivalence, and judgmental brush offs... just put the song out anyway."
Swift also revealed that the track's music video is a compilation of home videos and teased that the track may be called "Christmas Tree Farm," which would be a sweet nod to Swift's childhood home on such a farm in Pennsylvania.
