Taylor Lautner's Wife Reveals She Had a Breast Cancer Scare

Taylor Lautner's wife, Tay, revealed the details of her breast cancer scare on the couple's 'The Squeeze' podcast.

Taylor Lautner's wife, Tay, is recalling the horrifying ordeal that recently had her thinking she was dealing with breast cancer.

Tay shared the health update on the latest episode of her and her husband's The Squeeze podcast, recalling that a couple of months ago she felt a lump on her breast while she was showering. Tay, 27, said she paused for a brief second and "pressed on it again" and felt a "hard lump."

"I literally just stood in the shower and completely froze," she said.

Tay's mind started racing to the worst-case scenario, given that she's had friends and family who have personally dealt with breast cancer.

"Feeling something that is foreign in your body, especially there, it was terrifying," she said. "I immediately started bawling."

Once out of the shower, Tay didn't know who to call. The Twilight star, 32, wasn't home at the time. He was at an important meeting, and Tay said she didn't want to phone him and "bug him."

But once he got home, Taylor said he immediately realized something was wrong.

"You were just acting different, but sad," he recalled. "You weren't saying much."

Then Tay started crying.

"When you told me, I was terrified because it's just hard for your mind not to go to the worst place," Taylor shared. "So yeah, I was terrified but trying not to show you that I was terrified because I don't want you any more worried than you were. I think to you I was probably like, 'I'm sure it's nothing, but let's go check it out.' Meanwhile, inside I'm just freaking out."

Tay wanted to visit a breast center, but she couldn't do that without first getting a referral from her gynecologist. Eventually, Tay got the referral and was able to visit the breast center, where doctors performed an ultrasound. Tay said the doctor told her everything was clear and that, sometimes, these things can just happen, like when the tissue moves around in the breast. Hormones can also cause the lumps.

In the end, Tay said everything is OK and she's "happy and thriving."

"It's still there to this day," added Tay, referring to the hard lump on her breast. "Hasn't gone away."

Taylor and Tay tied the knot in 2022 after four years of dating. They celebrated their one-year wedding anniversary last November. Following their nuptials, the couple shared on The Kelly Clarkson Show the hardest part about having the same name.

"The mail," she responded after host Kelly Clarkson asked the couple if it ever gets confusing with emails or questions.

"This holiday season is going to be tough," he replied at the time. "There's going to be some gifts ruined for sure."
