Susan Sarandon Says She's 'Open to Love,' Shares What She Wants in a Partner (Exclusive)

Susan Sarandon is not off the market forever!

Susan Sarandon is not giving up on love!

Speaking with ET's Rachel Smith from Thursday's The Fabulous Four premiere in New York, the 77-year-old actress -- who was previously married to actor Chris Sarandon from 1967-1979 -- opened up about her daughter, Eva Amurri's, recent wedding and what she's looking for in a partner.

Sarandon's daughter, Eva Amurri -- whom she shares with ex Franco Amurri -- married Ian Hock in an intimate ceremony last month. Sarandon's other former partner, Tim Robbins -- with whom she shares sons Miles and Jack -- was also in attendance.

"A fabulous wedding," the Thelma and Louise star tells ET of Eva's nuptials. "This was her second wedding and I think it's kind of fabulous to get married after you already have kids because they were participating and they were so happy about it."

Eva was married to Kyle Martino from 2011 to 2020 and they welcomed two sons during their time together. Sarandon says the wedding was reflective of the love her daughter has found in Hock, adding, "It was very small and very intentional and very sweet."

So... would she ever open up her heart again to find love? Why not, she says!

"I'm open to love," she says. "On every level, absolutely. I wouldn't say I'm looking for a guy to share my medicine cabinet, but I love an adventurer."

The acclaimed actress adds, "I'd love to, you know, [find] anybody that's still curious and passionate, you know?"

Her daughter's wedding isn't the only wedding in her life, though, as her new film -- which also stars Bette Midler, Megan Mullally and Sheryl Lee Ralph -- follows lifelong friends traveling to Florida to be bridesmaids for their college girlfriend.

Sarandon says that when it came to the project, the cast and crew set out to just have a good time. Spoiler alert: they accomplished their goal.

"We just wanted to have fun, and I think we -- we did," she says, adding that they also were hopeful that the story would appeal to everyone.

"There are women of all ages that have stories, right? And I think that hopefully it transcends. I mean, I go to movies that star younger people, so I hope that you know kids -- one of my boys is here and I think he'll find it fun. Just the silliness of older people," she tells ET.

ET also spoke with Sarandon's co-star, Sheryl Lee Ralph, and she gave her own reasons as to why people should go see their movie.

"In this time of chaos, we need some peace. We need some comfort, we need some laughter and this is the movie," the actress said.

The Fabulous Four premieres in theaters on July 26.
