The New England Patriots will take on the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday when the NFL championship game kicks off live from the U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota. ET's already rounded up how to watch, who the celebrities are rooting for and everything else you need to know about the actual game, but now we're giving you some insight into this year's highly anticipated performances.
First, Hamilton star Leslie Odom Jr. will belt out a sure-to-be-beautiful rendition of "America the Beautiful" as part of the pre-game festivities, following in the footsteps of artists like Alicia Keys, Faith Hill, Mary J. Blige and Queen Latifah, who have sang the song at previous Super Bowl games.
Then, Pink will make her debut Super Bowl appearance when she takes America's biggest stage to sing "The Star Spangled Banner." Luke Bryan, who sang the national anthem ahead of last year's game, offered some advice to the pop star while chatting with ET earlier this month.
"Pink is one of the best singers on planet Earth and I know she's going to do an unbelievable job with the national anthem," he gushed. "It's pretty nerve-wracking, I'm sure she'll kill it though. She's been on the big stage for a lot of years, certainly even more than me, so I know she'll do great and good luck, Pink."
After the second quarter of the game, all eyes will be glued to center field when Justin Timberlake performs the Pepsi Super Bowl Halftime Show. The 37-year-old singer will be performing a 13-minute set, featuring dance moves created by his longtime choreographer, Marty Kudelka.
ET was on site for a pre-Super Bowl LII presser in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on Thursday, where Timberlake opened up about how he's feeling ahead of Sunday's show.
"I think I'm just excited," the "Filthy" singer, who celebrated his 37th birthday in rehearsals on Wednesday, exclaimed. "I'm excited to be on this stage once again and at this point in my life. It's just a great opportunity."
There's been plenty of speculation on whether Timberlake will bring out any special guests, and if so, who he'll choose. The majority of fans have their fingers crossed for either a Janet Jackson or *NSYNC reunion, but while speaking to the crowd, he shut those rumors down.
"Well, no," he said, when asked about the latter. "To be honest, I had a ton of grand ideas about special guests. Yeah, there's a whole list... I think Vegas has a lot of odds on it, from *NSYNC to JAY-Z to Chris Stapleton to Janet [Jackson]. My band, the Tennessee Kids, I feel like they're my special guests. I'm excited this year just to rock the stage. So, yeah, it's going to be a lot of fun."
This marks Timberlake's third Super Bowl halftime appearance. His first halftime show was in 2001, as part of *NSYNC, alongside Britney Spears, Aerosmith, Mary J. Blige and Nelly. He appeared again in 2004 with Jackson, when the now infamous "wardrobe malfunction" occurred.
A source told ET last month that Timberlake is spending an average of eight to 10 hours a day in rehearsals in preparation for the performance. Hear more on what he's got up his sleeve for the show in the video below!
