Danielle Olivera is leaving 'Summer House' after seven seasons.
Danielle Olivera is leaving Summer House -- at least as a regular cast member -- after seven seasons.
On Tuesday, the 35-year-old reality TV star announced her departure from the popular Bravo series ahead of season 9. Olivera joined the series in season 2 and just recently made her first appearance on season 3 of the spinoff Winter House.
In an Instagram post, Olivera shared the news of her exit with her more than 260,000 followers, calling it a "heartbreaking" choice and sharing that she is thankful for the platform that the show has given her thus far.
"Hello my sweet loves, I wanted to share that I've come to the heartbreaking decision to not return as a full time cast member on the upcoming season of Summer House," Olivera began her post. "Obviously this decision didn't come without a tremendous amount of thought. Ultimately, I just need to trust my gut. If I can't put 100% of myself into filming, genuinely and authentically, it really doesn't feel right doing it in a full time capacity. The network, production, my cast, and especially all of you deserve that."
Olivera continued, "Right now I need to protect and prioritize the things that matter most to me - my company, my people, and of course myself."
This isn't the first time she has taken a step back. Back in season 4, Olivera opted to become a part-time cast member, which she even mentioned in her announcement post on Tuesday.
"I was fortunate enough to be able to take a step back season 4 as well, and it ended up working out better than i imagined," Olivera wrote. At the time, she shared that it was her busy life that led to her role being downgraded.
"Here's the truth: I was given the opportunity to have a reduced role last summer aka: be part time," she shared with her followers in an Instagram update back in May 2020. "And I'm so appreciative of that."
As for her new departure, Olivera assured fans that while they will most likely be seeing a lot less of her face when season 9 premieres -- presumably in January or February -- she will still be supporting her friends on the show.
"However I'm involved this summer, you can bet I'll be rooting for another incredible season from my Summer House fam. My goodness, season 9 you guys!!!" Olivera concluded in her written message, accompanied by photos of her "Summer House fam" and a photo of herself on a boat.
The exit comes after season 8 saw a newly single Olivera looking for love just about anywhere outside of the home in the Hamptons. Olivera also spent a majority of the summer working to rebuild her friendship with castmate Lindsay Hubbard after their infamous 2022 feud.
Before that, fans could catch Olivera trading in the Hamptons beaches for Colorado mountains on Winter House season 3, where she had a tumultuous time with the other cast members. She shared with ET in October that she decided to reinvent herself going into the new reality program -- whether it worked or not is for the viewers to decide.
"I really gave myself a talking to before landing in Steamboat Springs, and just said, 'Listen, if you're gonna have a good time, be selfish. Make it about you and you only, and don't involve yourself in other people's s**t," the tech entrepreneur said. "It hasn't gone very well for you in the past, so stop doing it. So that's what I did."
