In ET’s first look, Kyle tries to show his love for girlfriend Amanda Batula… but it gets lost in translation.
Summer lovin’ in the Summer House isn’t as easy as it seems.
In ET’s exclusive sneak peek at the next episode, Kyle Cooke, Carl Radke and Jordan Verroi are having a bros’ night in (brought to you by lots of rosé), while the girls enjoy a dude-free dinner. The guys’ convo quickly turns to Kyle’s relationship with his girlfriend of three years, Amanda Batula.
"Amanda is wanting you to be more like, 'I’m in love with Amanda!'" Carl tells Kyle.
"I’m really f**king bad about being romantic," Kyle admits. "But I’m trying to, like, become a better man."
That’s when Kyle gets the grand idea to call up the restaurant where the girls are dining to order a bottle of Champagne for the table… even if the only Champagne available is a $600 bottle of Dom Perignon! He tells the restaurant that he’d like the following message paired with the bottle’s delivery: "Babe, I know it’s girls’ night out, but I can’t stop thinking about you… also, I can’t wait to move in with you."
Cut to the girls’ dinner, where Paige DeSorbo tells the table that she wants a boyfriend. Amanda snarkily responds, "They’re not as fun as they sound," just as the bottle of Dom shows up! Amanda opens the note, which doesn’t exactly match the message Kyle left. Instead, it ends with the confusing phrase, "I can’t wait to move into you.” Naturally, all the ladies are confused.
Watch it all unfold here:
"If I’m [in] year three [of my relationship], and my boyfriend has to send me a $600 of Champagne just to sleep with him… honestly? I’m probably doing something right," Paige quips.
We know the message gets cleared up at some point, because Kyle and Amanda do now live together in New York City. In fact, they’re engaged! ET chatted with the couple just before season three premiered to get details on their romantic summer -- the proposal will play out later this season on the show.
"I was very shocked," Amanda admits. "I really did not see it coming. I forget what I said."
"There was a swear involved," Kyle jumps in. "It wasn't a 'yes.'"
