On Feb. 19, NBC is celebrating its 90th birthday with The Paley Center Salutes NBC's 90th Anniversary, hosted by Kelsey Grammer. Ahead of the big day, ET is looking back on all our favorite couples from its many hit series. 'Friends' wouldn't have been the same without Ross and Rachel, but you also can't forget about Dr. Ross and Nurse Hathaway on 'ER.' Click through the gallery below to remember the lovers who ruled our TV for so many years, and be sure to tune into all the TV memories when Paley’s salute airs 8 p.m. ET/PT on NBC.

Ross and Rachel - 'Friends'
NBC
Played by Jennifer Aniston and David Schwimmer, the couple went on to become Gen Y relationship and romance icons for fans of the long-running comedy. While they ended up spending the latter half of the series apart, they still managed to find a way to be together in the end, giving us all hope that we'll find our "lobster."
Monica and Chandler - 'Friends'
NBC
The flipside to Ross and Rachel was Monica (Courteney Cox) and Chandler (Matthew Perry). A surprise pairing at first, the two quickly became the romantic bedrock of the series, showing a natural progression from wedding-night fling to secret lovers to eventually married with kids.
Eric and Tami - 'Friday Night Lights'
NBC
Kyle Chandler and Connie Britton will be forever linked as Eric and Tami Taylor on the critically-acclaimed football drama. The two actors played this couple so honest and true that no matter the test Eric and Tami experienced, their love never wavered -- and we believed every moment of it.
Carol Hathaway and Dr. Doug Ross - 'ER'
NBC
Ross (George Clooney) was something of a loose cannon around the ladies. That is, until Nurse Carol (Julianna Marguiles) tamed him. And lucky for fans, they were one of the TV couples to get a true happy ending when Clooney returned to the hit show in season six so his and Marguiles' characters could finally reunite.
April and Andy - Parks and Recreation'
NBC
She was a little bit goth and he was a little bit out of control, but April (Aubrey Plaza) and Andy (Chris Pratt) balanced each other out in unexpected ways. Unlike many odd TV pairings, their union never felt forced -- and that's why it worked. They embraced every single one of their quirk as individuals and as a couple.
Jim and Pam - 'The Office'
NBC
Perhaps learning a lesson from other famed "will they or won't they" TV romances, Jim and Pam (John Krasinski and Jenna Fischer) didn't stall for too long. By season four, they were officially dating and later got married. For all of The Office's zaniness, Jim and Pam kept things straightforward from their initial Secret Santa exchange to impending parenthood.
Sam and Diane - 'Cheers'
NBC
During the first five seasons of the show, Sam (Ted Danson) and Diane (Shelley Long) flirted with each other, condemned each other, repeatedly slept together and broke up often. Their sexual tension would later serve as a template of do's and don'ts for TV's greatest couples while still becoming a fan favorite twosome.
Leslie and Ben - 'Parks and Recreation'
NBC
While it's hard for fans not to love Leslie (Amy Poehler), the Pawnee, Indiana, government employee struggled with relationships until Ben (Adam Scott) eventually came along -- to audit her and shut down the government. Sure, the started off at odds, but they eventually discovered their mutual love for public service and each other.
Kirk and Uhura - 'Star Trek'
NBC
Before Chris Pine and Zoe Saldana took over the roles in most recent film adaptations, Captain Kirk and Nyota Uhura brought to life by William Shatner and Nichelle Nichols in the original 1966 series. While there was plenty of romance and intrigue between the two, the couple broke barriers when they kissed onscreen in the 1968 episode, "Plato's Stepchildren."
Paul and Jamie - 'Mad About You'
NBC
A young couple in New York City, Paul and Jamie (Paul Reiser and Helen Hunt) often presented fans with a light-hearted take on the realities of being newlyweds. As the show progressed, so did the couple, who eventually turned into haphazard parents. Sadly, their down fall -- or rather, the show's -- was when the focus shifted to their daughter, Mabel. But we still have so many memories of nooners, the trials of buying a couch together (pre-IKEA) and nagging in-laws.
Ma and Pa - 'Little House on the Prairie'
NBC
Known as Ma and Pa on the NBC series, Charles and Caroline Ingalls (Michael Landon and Karen Gassle) were perhaps the ultimate parents and couple. Their relationship survived eight(!) kids as well as issues of addiction, poverty, prejudice and faith. TV's never seen a more dedicated and long-lasting couple.
