In ET’s sneak peek at the series premiere of ‘Sell It Like Serhant,’ ‘Million Dollar Listing: New York’ star Ryan Serhant brings his no-nonsense sales approach to Millbrook Vineyards and Winery.
Ryan Serhant is getting into the wine business, at least for an hour.
In ET’s exclusive sneak peek at Bravo’s new series, Sell It Like Serhant, the Million Dollar Listing: New York star visits Millbrook Vineyards and Winery in Millbrook, New York, to impart some of his sales wisdom on the staff. He sets up a faux tasting -- well, real wine, but fake sales attempt -- with winery employee Tim Gonzales. Ryan tries to give Tim hint after hint that he’s ready to make a purchase in the middle of the tasting, but Tim just keeps barreling through his canned pitch.
“Wait, wait, wait -- why are we moving on right now?” Ryan eventually blurts out, cutting Tim off. “I just told you I like this one. Again.”
“You just keep on the tour,” he continues. “Like, you know all of this stuff. You’re very, very good at it. But when you talk about, you don’t make that personal connection when you’re talking about it.”
“A big part of selling is asking questions and also listening,” he then notes, “and waiting for those cues.”
“You seem to have a mental block for selling,” he tells Tim. “So, we’ve got to figure out how to crush that block. I’m worried about you keeping your job.”

“It’s something that I’ve wanted to do for a very, very long time,” Ryan previously told ET of launching Sell It Like Serhant. Each week, he will bring his savvy sales skills to a new business in need of sales help. And if you’re questioning Ryan’s ability to sell, look no further than his sales record last year. His team sold just about $1 billion worth of real estate in 2017!
“It’s an idea I’ve had since Million Dollar Listing started,” he shared. “People have reached out to me for a very long time and said, ‘Listen, you’re a good real estate broker, you can sell real estate. So what?” … But how do I really give back? I give back by [sharing] the way I’ve created sales machines in my own team.”
“I can create super sales machines, really, out of everybody,” Ryan boasted. “I’ve been doing that now for the last couple years, just kind of talking to people who reach out, who have questions about different sales tactics, who want different tips. I’ve done it over the phone, I’ve had Skypes with different people, just ‘cause I like helping and I like using what I’ve learned in the high-stakes world of New York City real estate, and being able to apply those skills to different types of jobs, whether it’s selling, you know, golf clubs or printers or alcohol… anything really.”
“So, that’s what this show is: me going into different sales environments and helping people learn to sell better, who actually want to sell,” Ryan finished. “I can’t help anybody who just wants a paycheck. That’s not sales. I can help people who are passionate about what they’re selling, but just want to sell more of it.”
Tune into the series premiere of Sell It Like Serhant on Wednesday, April 11, at 10 p.m. ET on Bravo, after an all-new The Real Housewives of New York City.
