The singer has taken several breaks from social media in the past.
Selena Gomez is taking a step back from social media. On Tuesday, the 31-year-old Only Murders in the Building star took to her Instagram Story to reveal that she'd be forgoing social media for the time being.
Gomez, who previously took social media breaks in February and October of last year, shared the news alongside a video of her boyfriend, Benny Blanco, playing with two children.
"I'm off social for a while," Gomez wrote alongside the clip. "I'm focusing on what really matters."
What matters to Gomez is clearly Blanco, whom she began dating in June. In fact, her loss at the Golden Globe Awards was made easier by having Blanco at her side. She even shared a photo of them kissing on her Instagram Story, declaring, "I won."
Gomez's social media decision comes after she made headlines at the Globes for her whispered conversation with Taylor Swift and Keleigh Teller. During a commercial break at the ceremony, Gomez went up to Swift's table, presumably to spill some tea to her longtime friend.
The whispers prompted several fan theories online, chief among them that Gomez had asked Timothée Chalamet for a picture and Kylie Jenner had said no. However, ET has learned that Gomez never went up to Chalamet and Jenner and asked for a photo. She never saw them, ET has learned.
Shortly thereafter, Chalamet further shut down the theory, telling a TMZ photographer that he's "of course" cool with Gomez, and adding that there's no beef between them and Jenner. "All good," he said.
Gomez herself later took to the comments section on an Instagram post about the Chalamet/Jenner theory to share what she was really talking about during the conversation with Swift, writing, "Noooooo, I told Taylor about my two friends who hooked up. Not that that's anyone's business."
