The Duchess of Sussex made some incredible style statements while pregnant with her first child, due in April.
Meghan Markle became a style icon the moment she stepped into the royal circle, and her maternity fashion choices have been no exception.
In fact, the Duchess of Sussex may have upped her sartorial game since announcing in October that she and her husband, Prince Harry, were expecting their first child together.
Over the course of five months, Meghan paid tribute to Harry's late mother, Princess Diana, and she's even matched sister-in-law Kate Middleton when they both wore burgundy looks on the same November day.
But the 37-year-old former actress had plenty of unique fashion moments that were all her own. At the beginning of her pregnancy, Meghan opted for casual, preppy looks that helped her max out on chic comfort, especially during her and Harry's royal tour of Australia and Fiji shortly after the pregnancy announcement. As she figured out how to dress her burgeoning baby bump, the mom-to-be began stepping out in incredibly glam gowns for evening events like the 2018 British Fashion Awards in December and a special charity performance at Royal Albert Hall the following month.
She wasn't afraid of color either, going especially bold in a royal purple-and-red ensemble while visiting Birkenhead, England, in January -- the same trip where she revealed that she was at the six-month mark of her pregnancy.
Meghan made her last pre-baby appearances last month. She wore an all-white ensemble from Victoria Beckham for Commonwealth Day services on March 11, and one week later, made her final public outing with Harry. For the solemn visit to the New Zealand House in London following the tragic terror attacks in Christchurch, the Suits alum wore a black cape-sleeved coat over a black dress and matching cut-out pumps. She made a touching choice with her accessories, opting to wear gold earrings by Boh Runga that had been gifted to her by New Zealand's prime minister, Jacinda Ardern.
We likely won't see Meghan out again before she and Harry introduce the world to their newborn at Windsor Castle in just a couple of weeks.
