'Deadpool & Wolverine' star Ryan Reynolds has shared the sex of his and Blake Lively's fourth child, Olin.
Ryan Reynolds has revealed that he and Blake Lively are the proud parents of a little boy.
Reynolds, 47, and Lively, 36 -- who have been married since 2012 -- are the parents of four children, including daughters James, 9, Inez, 7 and Betty, 4, as well as son Olin, 1. Reynolds and Lively had never publicly revealed the sex of their fourth child before, and only revealed his name during the New York premiere of Deadpool & Wolverine last week.
Reynolds shared the info in a heartfelt video in support of Walking 4 Hope, in which he shared the story of John Bell, a father from Nottingham, England, who tragically lost his young son.
Bell's son was a huge Deadpool fan, and in honor of his memory, Bell dressed like Deadpool and walked from England to Wrexham, Wales, to raise awareness for his mental health charity. This caught the attention of Reynolds, who met with Bell and sat down with him to talk about his memories of his son, the pain he felt after his death, and how he turned that pain into hope and resilience.
"I'm very grateful that you shared his story, and I want to share with you that I too have a son," Reynolds told Bell, "and if I -- boy, John, if I love him 1/10th as much as you love Jake, I feel like I've done a pretty damn good job."
Bell shared his appreciation on Instagram via his charity, posting a photo of him and Reynolds standing together.
"Well, what can I say, This man right here, what a beautiful human, I am honoured @vancityreynolds made it public to the world that his 4th born child, is a boy, during our interview. I didn't realise how anxious I was until I first walked in that interview room, and Ryan welcomed me with open arms," Bell wrote.
"Ryan using his platform to share my story and ask me about my boy meant so much to me personally, but what it will do for Walking 4 Hope-Charity Page to be able to support more people, I will forever be thankful," he added. "Congratulations, Ryan and #BlakeLively. You are truly beautiful souls."
During the New York City premiere of Deadpool & Wolverine last week, Reynolds took the stage ahead of the screening -- alongside co-star Hugh Jackman and director Shawn Levy -- and he thanked the audience while also revealing his son's name.
"I want to start by saying thank you to my wife Blake, who is here," Reynolds said while surrounded by his fellow Deadpool & Wolverine cast members. "I want to thank my kids, James, Inez, Betty, Olin, who are here. I hope that, if I'm lucky, this moment will be the most traumatic thing -- that is, the contents of this movie -- that happens in your wondrous life."
Reynolds -- after getting a wave of laughter from the audience -- continued, "I love that my entire family is here."
Hilariously, Reynolds told Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb on Today earlier this year that they were actually waiting on their good pal, Taylor Swift, to pick out the baby's name. The 34-year-old crooner has worked in their older three daughters' names -- James, Inez, and Betty -- into lyrics.
During an appearance on Today in November 2023, Reynolds revealed they do not find out the sex of their babies before they are born. "I know girls, so I'm sort of kind of hoping that," he said, "but I'm ready for whatever happens."
He later told ET of them getting ready to welcome baby No. 4, "We're very excited. You know, we'd have to be... You'd have to be a moron to do this four times if you didn't like it. It's gonna be nuts, but we're very excited."
