The actor wore a t-shirt with a supportive message for his longtime love.
Ryan Gosling is offering a subtle but sweet shout-out to his longtime love, Eva Mendes.
Amid his ongoing press tour for The Fall Guy with co-star Emily Blunt, Gosling opted to make a style statement with his look in a recent interview shared on YouTube by Hits Radio. In the video, Gosling can be seen wearing a cream t-shirt emblazoned with the title of Mendes' upcoming children's book: Desi, Mami, and the Never-Ending Worries.
The picture book, illustrated by Abbey Bryant, will be released on Sept. 17 in both English and Spanish.
"Desi, Mami and the Never-Ending Worries is a love letter to my kids and yours," the actress previously told People. "Learning how to train our brain to work for us and not against us is easier said than done! At my home and in Desi's, we try to deal with the never-ending worries and anxieties that we all have, so those negative thoughts don’t take over and dominate."
The book is inspired by Mendes' own daughters, 9-year-old Esmeralda and 8-year-old Amada, whom she shares with the Barbie actor.
On Tuesday, Mendes hopped on Instagram to express gratitude to Gosling for his unwavering support. She wrote, "Feeling the love from my Cuban Papi! And adoring that gorgeous Mami -Emily Blunt- so much! Love is in the air! ❤️"
The private couple has long kept details about their relationship and their children out of the public eye, save for a handful of loving comments about each other. They were first linked back in 2011 after working together on the film The Place Beyond the Pines.
Gosling, 43, recently called Mendes, 50, his "hero" in an interview with Men's Health.
"I often think about what's going to matter to me on my deathbed that I did and that I didn't do," Gosling told the mag. "It puts things into perspective. It always comes back to family first. I don't think I'll regret anything professionally, but I do think when it comes to Eva [Mendes] and the girls, they come first."
He continued, "I don't know, it's probably not a good thing that I go deathbed, but it's helpful for me. Anytime I'm struggling, I just think about whether it's going to matter to me then because, yeah, this whole thing can be distorting…. Are you going to care about this thing, whether you did it or not, whatever the thing is? It's extreme, but it's helpful."
This is hardly the first time Gosling or Mendes has paid tribute to each other through fashion. Mendes caused a stir when she rocked a tee with Gosling in character as Ken on it, and ET was with Gosling when he wore an "E" initial necklace in the Barbie logo font at the film's premiere.
"They were a huge inspiration for me," he said of his kids at the time.
Following his Academy Award-nominated turn as Ken, Gosling now stars as a stuntman with a soft spot in The Fall Guy. Speaking with ET at a recent press junket, Gosling joked about one scene that called for waterworks as he sobbed along to a Taylor Swift song.
"That was actually just me," Gosling cracked of his "projectile tears."
"Couldn't get him out of his emotions in that scene," Blunt added of their on-screen moment.
The Fall Guy hits theaters on May 3.
