The actress stars in Hulu's new series, 'Under the Bridge,' alongside Lily Gladstone.
Riley Keough says she would be honored to be nominated for any and all awards for her new show, Under the Bridge.
Talking with ET's Rachel Smith at the 2024 Met Gala, the 34-year-old actress shared that while it was not their goal for the Hulu show, it is always nice to be recognized for hard work. She would know something about that too as a 2023 nominee for Daisy Jones & The Six.
"It's like, you never know, so I think that I'm just happy people are watching the show and loving the show," she said Monday evening. "The other stuff is sort of like, you know, I don't like to think about that because it's about the work and people watching it and I'm just happy people are enjoying it."
On the show, Keough plays Rebecca Godfrey, the author of the Under the Bridge novel, which was written about the 1997 murder of 14-year old Reena Virk (Vritika Gupta). The show also stars Killers of the Flower Moon Oscar nominee Lily Gladstone, who plays a police officer tasked with investigating the death of Virk.
Keough -- who shares a young daughter, Tupelo Storm, with husband Ben Smith-Petersen -- shared that while her mini-me couldn't be with her for the event, she was excited to get home and show her all the photos from the night.
"I'm sure she'll love the embroidery," she said of her dress, a stunning and simple gown with a floral pattern on top, a sheer midriff and a black tiered bottom. She told ET that the ensemble was "months" in the making and she couldn't be prouder of the final product -- after a few tweaks.
"Oh my gosh, months, I mean, a few months," she shared of the timeline. "There was like a version of it and then it's been tweaked along the way and now here we are."
It's been a busy year for the Zola actress who attended the 2023 Emmy Awards as a nominee earlier this year. She brought her grandma, Priscilla Presley, with her as her date and shared with ET that she felt "lucky" to have her there.
"It's very special," she said at the time. "I'm here with my grandmother and my husband. I feel lucky to have family here to support me."
More recently, Keough opened up to ET about her interesting and experimental film with Jesse Eisenberg, Sasquatch Sunset, in which they wore full-blown sasquatch suits to play their characters in the film. They hilariously discussed what it was like to shoot the project and potentially scare passersby.
"There were a couple [of] times where we'd be sitting on the road ... and truck drivers would pass by. And we'd be sitting there and I never got to catch their faces, but I'm sure that it was funny," Keough shared.
On top of her Emmy nomination and her new film, there's Under the Bridge, which Gladstone, 37, said she felt inclined to join because of Keough.
"When I heard Riley was attached, I was just dying to -- I've been dying to work with her for a long time, so it also gave me great confidence," Gladstone shared back in April.
She added, "There was a little bit of a hesitancy doing true crime so soon after doing Killers of the Flower Moon, but I knew that with Riley not only starring in it, but EP-ing it that it was gonna be a very compassionate deep dive into a story."
