The ‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ star has to get candid as she starts to write her upcoming memoir, ‘Pretty Mess.’
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills are really keeping it real this season -- especially Erika Jayne.
The “XXPEN$IVE” singer gets candid on Tuesday’s all-new episode, and only ET has your first look. Erika is starting to write her memoir, Pretty Mess, with the help of co-author Brian J. Moylan, which means she has to share some of her most personal moments, starting with her strained relationship with her biological father. On last week’s episode, Erika revealed to her co-stars that she did not meet her dad until she was in her 20s, comparing their first encounter to “meeting a stranger.”
“My mom and dad were married, but he left when I was about nine months old,” she tells Brian. “He went on and lived his life, and I did not meet my dad until I was 25. He invited me up for Thanksgiving … and it was awkward for sure.”
“[I was] basically at a stranger’s house, by myself,” she adds.
“There was this moment in my father’s house, and his daughter -- she was a little toddler -- she was playing around, and I said, ‘Well, how did you end up with a baby?’” she recalls. “And he said, ‘Well, you know, my wife, she never had any kids and I never had any kids.’ And I was like, ‘Yeah….’”
“What do you say to that?” she then asks in a confessional. “He had never, ever acknowledged my existence, to anyone, and obviously to himself, as well.”
Erika then reveals she only saw her father twice more after that first encounter before the relationship petered out. She says they have no contact today.
Tune into The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills on Tuesday at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo to see what else Erika reveals about her past. Last month, the star told ET that her memoir -- out this March -- will give her fans her “personal story … from the horse’s mouth.”
