The 'Real Housewives of Salt Lake City' star is awaiting clarification on the reason behind her son hospitalization.
Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Lisa Barlow is grappling with a distressing situation as her eldest son, Jack Barlow, is currently hospitalized in Colombia, where he is on a Mormon mission trip.
The reality TV personality took to X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday to share the concerning update with her followers.
"I miss Jack every day - he has been in the hospital for 3 days and it’s killing me not being there ♥️♥️," Lisa wrote in a heartfelt tweet, without specifying the reason for Jack’s hospitalization. When a concerned fan inquired about the nature of his illness, Lisa responded, "They are figuring it out."
Earlier on the same day, Lisa had posted a photo of Jack to her Instagram Story and X, showing him smiling in a selfie taken in what seemed to be a street market in Colombia.
In the tweet, she clarified Jack’s location, stating, "Jack is in Colombia. Sorry to disappoint those who can’t control their inner b**ch and make up lies about where and why he went."
Despite Jack's hospitalization, Lisa expressed that her son is "loving" his time in South America. However, she acknowledged the challenge of being far away while he’s unwell, mentioning that they "will know more tomorrow," hinting at a possible update to come on Wednesday.
This season on RHOSLC, Jack shared his decision to postpone college and embark on a two-year Mormon mission trip to Colombia. Lisa and her husband, John Barlow, celebrated his call to Colombia at a party documented on the show. Lisa, though emotional about her son being so far from home, has been supportive of his decision to put his faith into action.
In an Instagram post, Lisa previously shared photos from the announcement party and expressed her pride in her son's decisions. Despite missing him every day, she celebrated his birthday in October, wishing he could be with them in person and expressing her love for him.
The concerned mother also shared insights into the nature of Jack’s mission, revealing that the family can only talk to him once a week, and Jack is occupied with work throughout the day.
