Mrs. Black Bill Gates throws a press conference to answer her pals’ questions about her husband’s confusing tax situation, but winds up only confusing the ladies more.
Karen Huger does NOT want to talk about her husband, Ray’s, tax issues -- even though she’s holding a press conference to talk about them.
In ET’s exclusive first look at this week’s The Real Housewives of Potomac, Karen calls the group together for a lunch to answer the ladies’ questions about the tax scandal involving her husband and his business. In the season three premiere, it was revealed that Karen’s husband, whom she calls “the black Bill Gates,” and his company owe nearly $5 million in back-due federal taxes.
Karen has been adamant that she owes nothing, telling co-star Robyn Dixon, “I don’t owe anybody anything … Karen is debt-free and loaded.” Even so, the women don’t seem to believe Karen, at least not 100 percent.
“Are you being indicted at all?” Ashley Darby asks at the lunch, to which Karen responds with a devilish cackle.
“Did Michael get indicted for his ding-a-ling swinging across Instagram? No,” she responds, referencing gossip reports that Ashley’s husband sent nude pictures to men while he and Ashley were separated.
“I don’t believe everything I read, but if you want to believe everything you read, Ashley, your man up there meeting people in London,” Karen scoffs in a confessional. “Through the Grindr.”

“Um, excuse me, was that in the Washington Post?” Ashley fires back, noting that her initial question stemmed from a report in the respected newspaper -- not a random blog.
Karen remains adamant that she is not on the line with the IRS for any money, and reiterates to the ladies that she and her husband file their taxes separately. That only sparks more questions for the group, who don’t seem to understand why any married couple would file separately.
“I feel like it’s gonna come out online before you tell us is the problem,” Ashley mutters after Karen dodges more questions from her so-called friends. “Like, we’re gonna read about it on ‘The Shade Room’ and Washington Post before you tell anybody.”
“I’m really trying to make progress with you here, but mind your own f**king business,” Karen then oddly shouts at Ashley. “We’re done. Mind your business. This is none of your business.”
“I just don’t believe that Karen’s being truthful about her whole situation,” Ashley announces to the group. “It’s OK if you’re not OK, Karen. If you’re about to go bankrupt, you can say it! It’s fine.”
