Alexia admits she finds herself 'lost' after Todd filed for divorce earlier this month.
Alexia Nepola found herself stunned and "lost" when her estranged husband, Todd, filed for divorce earlier this month.
In a conversation on iHeartMedia’s Ay Por Favor podcast, the 56-year-old star of The Real Housewives of Miami tearfully expressed, "It's been three weeks, so I'm still taking it all in and trying to understand, to process it. You know, again, I think [that] in every relationship, you kind of go back to the seven years we've been together."
She added, "Because even though we were married for two years and three months, because I count every day, you just can't help yourself but to go back to those seven years and say, 'What went wrong?'"
Alexa then becomes emotional, saying, "For the first week, for the first two weeks — actually, still today, it’s been three weeks, and I'm still going back in my head like, 'What happened?'"
"I'm a positive person, so I try to think about all the beautiful times we had together -- all of our beautiful trips..." she continued. "I don't want to have any anger, but I understand that anger is one of the grieving stages."
"I find myself lost..." she confessed. "It's been very, very difficult. It's been very painful, hurtful, and I'm just getting through it."
According to documents obtained by ET, Todd submitted the divorce papers on April 11, citing the marriage as "irretrievably broken."
The couple, who exchanged vows on Dec. 16, 2021, saw their struggles play out on the sixth season of The Real Housewives of Miami. Throughout the season, Alexia's co-stars raised questions about the couple's financial situation and the stability of their marriage.
Interestingly, the court documents show Alexia and Todd entered a prenuptial agreement on Dec. 10, 2021, just days before their wedding. However, the prenup details are confidential.
At the time, Alexia turned to Instagram to discuss the end of her marriage. The reality star shared that she felt "heartbroken" by Todd's decision to "dissolve our marriage." Despite this, she expressed gratitude for the support of her friends and family, finding solace in knowing they'll stand by her during this "difficult time."
Rumors about their financial troubles swirled among the cast, with Adriana de Moura sharing insights with Julia Lemigova, suggesting that Alexia and Todd's difficulties pushed them towards a split.
However, Alexia consistently denied these claims, asserting that she and Todd were doing well despite external speculation. She explained that their move from a rented condo in Miami was due to the building's sale, not financial strain.
Despite the rumors throughout season 6, Alexia addressed them head-on during the reunion episode, debunking various allegations about their finances. She even provided evidence, presenting their apartment lease and payment history.
Alexia and Todd’s breakup isn’t the only one on RHOM. Last month, ET exclusively reported that Larsa Pippen officially ended her relationship with Marcus Jordan, her boyfriend of nearly two years. After a brief reconciliation earlier this year, Pippen decided to move on.
"Larsa realized this relationship is just not the one for her after spending some more time apart, filming a new show," a source told ET. "She wants to move on and focus on improving her life. They simply want different things out of life."
Despite the split, the source added that the relationship ended amicably, leaving open the possibility of maintaining a friendship in the future.
"Larsa wants more out of her partner, someone who is motivated like her," the source said.
However, Larsa and Marcus were spotted at the beach together earlier this month, and a source told ET that the two "are figuring things out and not labeling this next chapter quite yet."
