'Real Housewives of Atlanta' Star Sanya Richards-Ross Gives Birth to Baby No. 2

The former Olympian announced the birth of her child on Instagram.

In a heartwarming announcement on her Instagram Story, Real Housewives of Atlanta star Sanya Richards-Ross shared the joyous news of the arrival of her second child.

The 38-year-old reality star expressed her happiness, stating, "He's here!!!!! And he's healthy, super chill and an absolute cutie! God is so good. Thanks for all the prayers. #RossPartyof4 LOADED."

This exciting development comes after a revealing mid-season trailer for the 15th season of the popular Bravo reality series, where Richards-Ross surprised her husband, Aaron Ross, with the news of her pregnancy. The clip showcased the couple's genuine excitement and joy as they embarked on this new chapter of their lives.

The pair's new addition will join their firstborn, Aaron Jermaine, who celebrated his sixth birthday in September. The decision to expand their family was made public during an episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, where Sanya disclosed her choice to remove her IUD and work towards having a second child with her husband, the former NFL star, 40.

The journey to baby No. 2 has not been without its challenges, as Richards-Ross candidly shared with The Bump in February the difficulties she and her husband faced in balancing parenting responsibilities.

Reflecting on the early days of parenthood, she disclosed, "I nursed my son for almost two and a half years. A nurse — and I wish I had taken her advice — told me to pump. She said, 'You have to share this load. If you’re exclusively breastfeeding, it’s going to get overwhelming.'"

The retired track-and-field star emphasized the importance of communication and understanding between partners in navigating the demands of parenting. "It’s about, for both people, sharing your needs clearly, but then also your partner having the heart to really hear you and understand that those needs matter to you," she explained.

Richards-Ross acknowledged the challenges of discussing the decision to have another child, describing it as a "hard thing to talk about."

The Real Housewives of Atlanta star expressed gratitude for the support of her castmates, noting, "Like they want me to be pregnant more than I want to be pregnant. I just love that because that’s what real sisterhood is all about."
