The royal couple's anniversary comes months after Kate Middleton's cancer diagnosis.
Prince William and Kate Middleton are marking a special day -- their wedding anniversary!
On Monday, the Prince and Princess of Wales celebrated their 13th wedding anniversary by sharing a photo from their big day.
"13 years ago today! 📸 @milliepilkingtonphotography," the caption read on the black-and-white throwback image from their wedding day.
In the photo, Kate stuns in her lace wedding gown by Alexander McQueen's Sarah Burton and dons Queen Elizabeth II's Cartier halo tiara while holding a gorgeous bouquet. For his part, William wore his black Blues and Royals uniform.
William, 41, and Kate, 42, tied the knot on April 29, 2011 in a royal wedding ceremony watched by millions at Westminster Abbey in London, England. The ceremony was attended by William's grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, his father, King Charles, his brother, Prince Harry, Kate's sister, Pippa Middleton, and several other family members.
Following their wedding, the pair went on to welcome children Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 8, and Prince Louis, 6.
The pair's wedding ceremony comes one month after the Princess of Wales announced her cancer diagnosis. While it is custom for the couple to hold engagements on their big day, this year it will look different as Kate has remained away from the public eye while undergoing preventative chemotherapy treatment.
After Kate publicly shared the news of her diagnosis, a Buckingham Palace spokesperson told ET that her father-in-law, King Charles III -- who revealed his own cancer diagnosis -- is "so proud of Catherine for her courage in speaking as she did." Since his and Kate's time in the hospital together, Charles has "remained in the closest contact with his beloved daughter-in-law throughout the past weeks, and both royals "will continue to offer their love and support to the whole family through this difficult time."
According to royal expert Katie Nicholl, the Princess of Wales' diagnosis came as a huge shock, and she is leaning on her family for support.
"I think they're going to feel very relieved that this was found in its early stages, and reassured by the fact that the chemotherapy is preventative chemotherapy," Nicholl said about Kate's parents, Carole and Michael Middleton. "Catherine is going to have the very best doctors in the world looking after her, so she's in safe hands. Carol and Michael, they've always been an incredibly strong couple and also very down to earth... what they'll be doing right now is they'll be coming together and supporting her -- and not just William and Kate, [but] their grandchildren, too."
