Prince Charles is currently in the middle of his Royal Tour of Australia with his wife, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, and on Friday, he met some local Australian celebrities in their own right – the Irwin family!
Bindi, Robert, and Terri Irwin met HRH on the beach on Lady Elliot Island in Queensland, Australia, ahead of a roundtable meeting regarding coral resilience.
Bindi, 19, took to Instagram after the meeting, writing: “Our family feels extremely privileged to have had the opportunity to meet with His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales and other dignitaries today at Lady Elliot Island. We joined together to discuss important methods to protect the largest living structure on Earth. The Great Barrier Reef. We must work together to make a difference and protect these sensitive ecosystems for the generations to come #RoyalVisitAustralia.”
Her younger brother, Robert, 14, noted he was “truly honored” to meet the British royal, adding, “It was great to speak about the conservation of this Wonder of the World with such a passionate and influential person.”
The royals are visiting Australia partly to help open the 2018 Commonwealth Games, which held its opening ceremonies earlier this week.
