The actress got candid about one particular aspect of her pregnancy journey in a YouTube video posted on Wednesday.
Shay Mitchell is getting real about her pregnancy journey.
The actress dropped another installment in her on-going YouTube series Almost Ready, where she opened up about one of the less-glamorous, exciting parts of being pregnant -- having to go to the bathroom. A lot.
"You wanna see something?" Mitchell, 32, asked as she was going through a round of wardrobe fittings, and revealing that she's been having to wear a diaper on set. "Honestly guys, I've never known that somebody could pee as much as you do when you're pregnant."
"I swear to God, in a half an hour, I went to the bathroom probably about 22 times last night to the point where I was like, 'I'm f--king wearing diapers,'" Mitchell continued.
Mitchell then showed that she was currently wearing one, and had decided to just try it out because "it gets so annoying having to go to the bathroom all the time."
According to Mitchell, one reason that she's chosen to go with wearing diapers is because of how hard it is to make it to a bathroom on set when she's busy with the demands of acting or preparing.
"I peed myself, I got it a couple good times and I had to throw it out," she said. “But I’m not doing it. You know, I’m having to pee way too much. It’s just like, I’m over it."
Mitchell's stylish, Monica Rose, appeared stunned at first, exclaiming, "What? I have never seen that in my life, and I’ve had three kids!" However, after hearing the actress' rationale, the decision seemed more logical. "You know, I wish I would have known about that. Because I've had a couple episodes," Rose admitted.
"You can thank me later," Mitchell said into the camera, directed toward her viewers, "for all the tips and tricks I'm learning from this."
Mitchell revealed in June that she and TV host Matte Babel were expecting a baby. The announcement came in the form of a topless Instagram post in which the actress showed off her burgeoning baby bump.
"Does this mean I’m allowed to drive in the car pool lane at all times now?" Mitchell captioned the bold pic. Check out the video below to hear more.
