The Duchess of Cambridge greeted the children of the Great Ormond Street Hospital on Wednesday.
Channeling her inner Diana! Kate Middleton stepped out on Wednesday for a good cause.
The 36-year-old pregnant Duchess of Cambridge visited London’s Great Ormond Street Hospital where she met with sick children being treated there.
Clad in a tangerine-colored peacoat and a peach dress, Kate’s tiny baby bump was just visible as she was greeted by a 9-year-old patient named Ava, who handed her a teddy bear, presumably for her third child, who is set to arrive this April.
Kate visited the local hospital to help open the new Mittal Children’s Medical Centre, which will serve more children and their families.
The Duchess also participated in an art project with a group of children, and met with families in their hospital rooms. The visit was reminiscent of the late Princess Diana’s public appearances in hospitals, meeting with sick patients.
“I’ve been so impressed with everything I’ve seen and the scale of the work that’s going on here,” Kate said in a speech at the unveiling. “It’s been wonderful to meet so many families and young people. And I’ve been so inspired by their bravery and courage at such a difficult time.”
Three months ahead of her due date, Kate is keeping busy. Earlier this week, Kate and Prince William visited Coventry, England, for a day of events. Later this month the couple is traveling abroad on their Royal Tour of Sweden and Norway.
